Excitement of a new film & character is unparalleled: Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor is currently basking in the accolades coming his way for his latest film AK vs AK.

The actor has received plaudits for his performance in the film, currently streaming on Netflix.

Anil Kapoor has specially come in for praise for the passion and sincerity in his performance in the film, which is being hailed by film analysts and critics as the 'Next level of Indian cinema'.

He may be past his prime, with offers for lead roles being few and far between but Anil Kapoor says that he is full of energy and excitement when approaching every role .

“To me, the excitement of a new film and character is unparalleled. My legacy is nothing but the body of work I leave behind,'the actor said reacting to the tremendous praise that he has received for the film. 

A black comedy thriller film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, AKvsAK has been produced by  Anurag Kashyap, and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane.

The film , which stars Anurag Kashyap alongside Anil Kapoor in the title characters, with Yogita Bihani, Sonam Kapoor and Harshvardhan Kapoor in supporting roles,unfolds across a single night, when Anurag ,After a public spat with Anil Kapoor, tells him that he has kidnapped his daughter, as revenge for how he was treated by the actor, and the industry. The film deals with Anil Kapoor's search for Sonam Kapoor, which has been filmed in real time.

The story, written by Avinash Sampath, utilises a film-within-a-film narrative where the main actors play fictionalised versions of themselves.

Sonam and Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor appear in cameos in the film 

AK vs AK released on Netflix on December 24, on the occasion of Anil’s birthday. 

It marks Vikramaditya Motwane’s second project for Netflix following Sacred Games.
