Bollywood continues to have average run at box office ; Chehre earns Rs 2.25 crore in opening weekend By Rajesh Ahuja Notwithstanding an easing of Covid restrictions across the country paving way for reopening of cinema halls in most parts of India barring Maharashtra,  Bollywood New Releases Bell Bottom and Chehre continue to attract poor to average footfalls at the theatres. While the average run for the Espionage thriller Bell Bottom continued in its second week, the mystery drama Chehre,  which released this week saw poor footfalls at the cinema halls, earning just Rs 2.25 crore during its opening weekend. The Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom,  which released last week to tremendous buzz for its promos and trailer, saw a sharp drop in its collections during the second weekend compared to the opening weekend.  Punjabi films Chal Mera Putt 2 & Puaada make a mark at box office despite Covid restrictions By Rajesh Ahuja Amid an average run at the box office by Bollywood big starrers Bell Bottom and Puaada , Punjabi films Puaada and Chal Mera Putt 2 are making a mark at the box office despite the Covid restrictions impacting theatrical revenues. Despite a limited release in India, Chal Mera Putt 2 , whose release was limited to Delhi and Punjab,  earned Rs 3.72 crore in the first weekend of its release after the pandemic. After collections of Rs 1.01 cr on Friday and Rs 1.15 crore on Saturday,  Chal Mera Putt 2 saw a jump in its collections on Sunday to Rs 1.55 crore., takingbits three day collections to Rs 3.71 crore.  Trade sources said that the film recorded collections of Rs 1.40  crore from cinemas in East Punjab on Sunday despite the theatres operating at just 50 per cent occupancy.  The trade sources said that film ran to near full houses in most  cinemas across Punjab.
