Bollywood to kick-start new year with Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi

After a forgettable and lackluster 2020, Bollywood will kickstart the New year 2021 with Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi, a film which marks the directorial debut of theatre, film and television actor Seema Pahwa.


Produced by Drishyam Films, Jio Studios and, UFO Moviez, Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi features an ensemble cast comprising Naseeruddin Shah, Vinay Pathak, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vineet Kumar, Supriya Pathak,  Vikrant Massey and Manoj Pahwa.


The film is about  Ramprasad's entire family gathering under one roof for 13 days after his death, to perform and observe the Hindu traditions and rituals called the tehrvi. During the course, the family’s dynamics, politics, and insecurities come out, and then they realise that the importance of people and things are only evident in retrospect.

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi will release not just in India but also Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.

 The film  premiered at Mumbai film festival on Oct 19 2019.
