Two years ago he made heads turn with his charming portrayal of a young man caught between two captivating women in the romantic comedy 'Hum Tumhein Chahte Hain'.
After winning accolades with his performance in his debut film , Janmmejaya Singh turns a new leaf as a crusader taking on the system after being dealt a cruel hand by fate and circumstances in his latest film 'Ramyaa'.
Produced by Anandvan Creations and Sulbha Kala Kruti and directed by Santosh Parab, Ramyaa is a compelling crime drama that explores human emotions, relationships, and the struggles of individuals trying to find their place in society, unfolding through an intense and engaging narrative.

The story begins with the protagonist Ramakant Rajaram Sawant aka Ramyaa (Janmmejaya) arriving in jail where he has been put under sections 307 and 324 on the charge of attempt to murder.
Facing constant mockery and humiliation at the hands of the authorities, Ramyaa learns the hard way that respect is something that one cannot take for granted but which has to be snatch from the world.
Standing his ground in the face of insults and humiliation, Ramyaa eventually decides to give it back to those who forced an honest and sincere person like him into a criminal.
Pitted against powerful men like Anna Shetty( Sayaji Shinde), Ramyaa takes charge of his life, taking on all those who did wrong to him.
The story of Ramyaa unfolds through an intense and engaging narrative which brings to the fore the dark face of power and politics.
Through the story of Ramyaa, the director Santosh Parab has tried to highlight the struggle of individuals trying to find their place in society.
The gritty crime drama is reminiscent of the Bollywood films of the 90s which saw the larger than life hero singlehandedly taking on the establishment when forced against the wall.
As a vigilante who singlehandedly takes on the system, Janmmejaya exudes a larger than life appeal, reminding one of the Bollywood heroes of the 80s and the 90s who took on the system after being subjected to insult and humiliation.
His intense eyes and his swag reminds one of larger than life heroes like Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna and Mithun Chakraborty who singlehandedly took on the system in Bollywood films of the 90s .
There is something stylish about the way his character Ramyaa takes on his various perpetrators and deals justice to them.
Watching him play the intense hero, an angry young man and a vigilante taking on the system, after his effortless portrayal of a romantic hero in his debut film 'Hum Tumhein Chahte Hain' shows the versatility of this young man.
Sayaji Shinde is brilliant as Anna Shetty.
Actors Samaira Rao, Ashok Samarth, Parthaa Akerkar and Ganesh Yadav lend able support to the film.
The background score by Biplaab Dutta complements the gritty drama.
The cinematography by Navin V Mishra adds to the appeal of the film. Mishra has beautifully captured the city of Mumbai, which comes across as a central character of the film.
The action by Kinder W Singh adds to the gritty appeal of the film.
The screenplay by Abhinav Anand Nirala keeps you engaged throughout the length of the film.
In a nutshell, Ramyaa is yet another feather in the cap for Janmmejaya Singh who displays his versatility with his vigilante act. He carries the film on his shoulders with his intense appeal and his larger than life persona.
