When the zipper for Priyanka Chopra's dress for Cannes Red carpet broke

As Priyanka Chopra awaits release of her book Priyanka Chopra Jonas Unfinished, which talks about her life journey-her modeling days, becoming Miss World , her rise in Bollywood and her foray in Hollywood films- the actress shared an excerpt from the book.

Sharing an incident during her visit to Cannes film festival, Priyanka Chopra revealed that as she got ready to leave for the Cannes Red Carpet, the zipper of her Red Carpet dress broke just minutes before the event.

'I may look chill on the outside here, but little did everyone know I had just been freaking out on the inside. The delicate zipper to this vintage @roberto_cavalli dress broke as they were zipping it up minutes before I had to leave for the red carpet at Cannes last year. The solution? My amazing team had to sew me into the dress on the way in the 5 minute car ride! 'she revealed.

Priyanka shared on social media a pic from a photo album in her book containing pictures from her Red carpet at Cannes last year.

Priyanka said her book includes more Behind The Scenes stories from Met Gala, Miss World and her days as a model and actor.

Being published by Penguin Random House, the book will hit the bookstores soon.

She has earlier shared pictures from the book's photo album that capture her childhood memories.

In the book, Priyanka Chopra has revealed that as a child she wanted to grow up like her father.

' I used to love following my dad around the house dressed in his Army uniform. I wanted to grow up and be exactly like him. He was my idol,'she said in an earlier excerpt shared 'with fans.
