YRF to release Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar,Bunty Aur Babli 2,Shamshera,Jayeshbhai Jordaar,Prithviraj in '21

In its endeavour to bring audiences back to the theatres in 2021, Yashraj films today announced its slate of films for 2021, which includes the Arjun Kapoor Parineeti Chopra starrer Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, the sequel to Bunty Aur Babli, the Ranbir Kapoor Vaani Kapoor Sanjay Dutt starrer Shamshera, Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar and the Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj, which marks the Bollywood debut of former Miss India Manushi Chillar.

While Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, which features Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles, will hit screens on March 19, Bunty Aur Babli 2, which will witness Rani Mukherjee reprise her role from the 2005 film and Saif Ali Khan reprise the role played by Abhishek Bachchan, will hit screens on April 23. The film will also feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and newcomer Sharvari Wagh as con artists.

The Ranbir Kapoor Sanjay Dutt Vaani Kapoor starrer Shamshera will hit screens on June 25 while the Ranveer Singh Boman Irani starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar will release theatres on August 27.

The much awaited Akshay Kumar starrer Prithviraj will hit screens on Diwali on November 5. Prithviraj also marks the Bollywood debut of former Miss India Manushi Chillar.

In a statement, Yashraj films said said the release of these much awaited films in 2021 is aimed at bringing audiences back to the theatres in 2021.

'Yash Raj Films has locked its exciting slate of films for 2021 and the company is signalling its strong intent to bring audiences back to experience films on the big screen,'Yashraj films said.

Trade analysts feel that the release of these much awaited films during the year will help tiring audiences back to the theatres, which have been witnessing poor footfalls since the reopening of theatres in October last year.

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has been produced and directed by Dibakar Bannerjee while the film will be distributed worldwide by Yashraj films.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 is directed by Varun Sharma and produced by Yashraj films while Shamshera has been directed by Karan Malhotra.

Jayeshbhai Jordar has been directed by Divyang Thakkar and jointly produced by Maneesh Sharma and Yashraj films while Prithviraj has been directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi.
