My character in The Bigg Bull has a sense of objectivity about him: Sohum Shah

The primary focus in the trailer and promos of the much awaited web series The Big Bull may be on Abhishek Bachchan but the show, which will stream on Disney Hotstar from April 8, features actor Sohum Shah  in a pivotal role in the series .

Sohum Shah plays the brother of the Big Bull Hemant Shah in The Big Bull. Makers of the film said that Sohum 's character in the film is a pillar of strength in the life of The Big Bull. 

Ahead of the streaming of the web series, that is said to be inspired by life of Harshad Mehta, the makers said, ' Behind every mastermind, there is a pillar of strength. Sohum Shah plays Viren, The Big Bull's brother who is his shadow and his strongest support.

Talking about the role played by him, Sohum shah said,' Viren is a person who is totally contented with life and does not have many desires.
He is a person who is happy in whatever little he has.

Therefore, his journey from zero to hero has an objectivity about it. It is his sense of objectivity that makes him sense that something of what is happening is not right. Infact, he makes all effort to stop it.'

Director of The Big Bull Kookie Gulati says that Soham Shah is the surprise element of the film.

'Sonam Shah will be a revelation in the film ,'he said.

Sohum has earlier worked in National Award-winning film  Ship of Theseus (2015), Talvar (2015), Simran (2017) and Tumbbad. 

Soham Shah plays Viren,  the brother of Hemant Shah,  in The Big Bull 



 Directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, Vikrant Sharma and Kumar Mangat Pathak, The Big Bull stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead with Nikita Dutta, Ileana D'Cruz, Soham Shah, Sumit Vats, Ram Kapoor and Lekha Prajapati  in supporting roles.

The Big Bull, takes viewers through the journey of the protagonist Hemant Shah from the resident of a small chawl to becoming a famous stockbroker .

The promos and the trailer of the web series have left the fans of Abhishek Bachchan excited as the film reminds them of the role played by Abhishek Bachchan in Mani Rathnam's Guru, in which he played the character of Dhirubhai Ambani.


The Big Bull will stream on Disney Hotstar from April 8



The release of the film was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the makers later decided to release it on Disney+Hotstar.

Abhishek Bachchan was last seen in Anubhav Sinha's Ludo and the thrilling web series Breathe Into the Shadows.
