Shoot for Ram Setu set to commence as Akshay, Jacqueline & Nushrratt leave for Ayodhya for muhurat

Shooting for the highly anticipated film Ram Setu is set to commenced with superstar Akshay Kumar leaving for Ayodhya for the muhurat shot of the film.

Sharing a picture of himself with Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrratt Bharuccha on the stairs of the flight to Ayodhya, Akshay Kumar said, 'A special film, a special start...Team #RamSetu off to Ayodhya for the mahurat shot. And so the journey begins. Need special wishes from all you guys .'

Directed by Abhishek Sharma (Parmanu, Tere Bin Laden) and creatively produced by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi (Prithviraj Chauhan), Ram Setu is an action-adventure drama that brings forward a story deeply rooted in Indian cultural and historical heritage.

Earlier this month, Akshay Kumar had shared picture of creative producer Chandraprakash Dwivedi holding a story reading session of the film with the cast and the director Abhishek Sharma.

Amazon Prime Video yesterday announced its association with the  Hindi movie  as a co-producer alongside Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment and Lyca Productions, making its foray into film production in India.

Akshay announced Ram Setu on Diwali last year. He had last year met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to seek permission for shooting of the film in various locations in the state.
