Anthology on short stories by master filmmaker Satyajit Ray on Netflix from June 25

After a successful anthology on stories by poet and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore last year, Netflix will this Summer stream an anthology on stories by master storyteller and National award winner Satyajit Ray.

Ray, an anthology based on short  stories by Satyajit Ray, will stream on Netflix from June 25.

Sharing a teaser trailer of the  anthology , Netflix said,'Great actors, great directors and great stories! The wait for this one might be a bit too much for us to handle. #Ray, premieres June 25. .'

Based on Satyajit Ray’s short stories that centre on themes of "love, lust, betrayal and truth", Ray will explore "vulnerabilities and multiple shades of each character'.

Ray features an ensemble cast comprising Manoj Bajpayee,  Kay Kay Menon, Ali Fazal, Harsh Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Anandita Bose , Raghubir Yadav, Manoj Pahwa, Bidita Bag, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Shweta Basu Prasad , Gajraj Rao and Lovleen Mishra,

Produced by Viacom 18 studios in association with Tipping Point , Ray will feature short stories directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherjee and Vasan Bala. 

Besides his critically acclaimed films, Satyajit Ray is also known for his short stories that explore themes of love,  lust and betrayal. 

The release of anthology of short stories by Satyajit Ray comes following the success of the anthology of short stories by Rabindranath Tagore,  streamed on Netflix last year.

Titled Stories by Rabindranath Tagore, the television series was directed by Anurag Basu.

The anthology of stories by Rabindranath Tagore featured an ensemble cast comprising Radhika Apte,Shreya Narayan,Jannat Zubair Rahmani,Bhanu Uday
Tara Alisha Berry,Sumeet Vyas and  Rohan Shah.
