Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar gets effusive praise from tinsel Town for its performances,excellent writing

It's release in cinemas in March went largely unnoticed with the resurgence of COVID-19 infections leading to poor footfalls at the theatres.

However,  post its release on Amazon Prime Video earlier this month, Dibakar Banerjee's dark comedy Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar has received an overwhelming response from the audience as well as celebrities from the film industry.

While audiences have been going ga ga over the Yash Raj Films production venture, people from the film industry have been heaping effusive praise on the film for the outstanding performances by its cast, especially the lead actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar as also been evoking praise from personalities from the film world fot its excellent writing.

Actors Alia Bhatt  and Janhvi Kapoor, directors Ribhu Dasgupta , Srijit Mukherjee,and Birsa Dasgupta,  writers Vivek Ranjit and Sulagna Chatterjee and CEO of Reliance Entertainment Shibashish Sarkar lauded the film for its brilliant performances and excellent writing.

Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor, who watched Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar recently on Amazon Prime Video,  were effusive in their praise for the performances by  actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra in the black comedy..

Scriptwriter Vivek Ranjit termed Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar as 'A moving, funny and effective film from DibakarBanerjee'

Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Mumbai Saga released in theatres amid fresh restrictions imposed by the Maharashtra government following a surge in covid cases in the state, adversely impacting the theatrical revenues of the film.

A black comedy, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar follows the story of a man and woman who represent two completely different Indians.

"Pinky" Dahiya is a Haryanavi Police Officer while Sandeep Kaur is someone from the Corporate world. However, they are united by their mistrust, suspicion, and hatred for each other.

The film brings together Parineeti Chopra and Arjun Kapoor for the first time after  Ishaqzaade.
