Varun Dhawan partners with Mission Oxygen India to procure & donate O2 concentrators to hospitals

Joining the list of celebrities who have been contributing to efforts to bring relief to those affected by Covid-19 amid an unprecedented surge in covid cases,  actor Varun Dhawan has partnered with Mission Oxygen India to procure and donate oxygen concentrators to hospitals across India .

In a statement,  Varun Dhawan said that the first shipment has already reached India and has been deployed at 14 hospitals.

'During uncertain times like these, our health care system needs utmost help. Since we know that oxygen is the need of the hour, I have contributed and partnered with Mission Oxygen India in their initiative to procure and donate life saving oxygen concentrators across the country.

As a group 30 something individuals who have managed to step up for the country in this time of need and raise over 21 crore for procurement of overv3900 OCs in under a week, I resonate deeply with their cause and urge everyone to help in whatever capacity possible.

The first shipment of oxygen concentrators arrived into the country and has already been allocated across 14 hospitals, 'Varun Dhawan said.

Several celebrities from the world of entertainment have come forward to contribute to the efforts of providing relief to those hit by Covud by providing oxygen cylinders and medical equipments to hospitals across India to help cure the people infected with the coronavirus infection.

Recently, actor Aansh Arora provided 1000 oxygen BPC flow meter cylinder kits to the needy people in Delhi and Gurgaon.

Doing his  bit to provide succor to people hit by the Covid-19 second wave, Aansh Arora has been providing oxygen cylinders and others medical equipments.

He is using his social media instagram and facebook @aanshharora to reach to amplify calls for help.

Bollywood celebrities like Sonam Kapoor,  Alia bhatt,  Priyanka Chopra and Ajay Devgn  have been sharing information about vaccination centres, hospital beds and oxygen generation plants to alleviate suffering of  people during the second wave of COVID-19. 

The last few weeks have seen a sharp surge in Covid cases in the country.

The country has seen over 3 lakh daily cases across the country in last seven days.

Varun Dhawan was last seen in Vashu Bhagnani's Coolie No 1, streamed on Amazon Prime Video.

He will be soon seen in the film Jugg Jugg Jiyo and Bhediya.
