Vidya Balan plays forest officer in her upcoming film Sherni, to stream on Amazon Prime Video in June

After winning accolades for her performance in Shakuntala Devi last year,  Bollywood actor Vidya Balan will be seen in the role of a forest officer in her upcoming film Sherni, which will release on Amazon Prime Video in June.

Amazon Prime Video and Vidya Balan today unveiled a teaser of Sherni, which shows her in the role of an officer from the Indian Forest Service trying to strike the right balance in an area of man animal conflict.

Sharing his teaser of Sherni,  Vidya Balan said, 'A tigress always knows the way! Ready to hear the #Sherni roar? Here’s the Official Teaser. Trailer out, June 2. Meet #SherniOnPrime, June 2021. '

Amazon Prime Video also shared the teaser of the film.

Vidya Balan to play forest officer in upcoming film Sherni 



Sherni to release on Amazon Prime Video in June 


An Amazon Original film, Sherni has been produced by Abundantia entertainment production house in association with the T series.

Sherni has been directed by Amit Masurkar, who earlier directed the critically acclaimed film Newton.

The trailer of The film will be released on June 2. The release date of the film is, however,  yet to be announced.

Vidya Balan had last been seen in the film Shakuntala Devi , in which she played the title role with Sanya Malhotra featuring in a pivotal role.
