Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai has given me a chance to explore myself as an actor; Hiba Nawab

She has captured the imagination of the audiences with her double role in the comedy show Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai,  being aired on Sab TV.

Actor Hiba Nawab,  who assays the double role of Connaught Place or CP Sharma and the mysterious ghost Chandra Prabha in Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai , says that playing the double role in the show has given her an opportunity to explore herself as an actor.

Hiba feels that doing a show like Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai is a fantastic opportunity for her to explore herself and push her boundaries as an actor.

In a candid chat, Hiba Nawab said, 'I feel this is a fantastic opportunity to explore and push my boundaries and expand my horizon as an artist. My characters are entirely different from each other, and I feel blessed to be a part of the show, which enables me to showcase my talent and perform diverse shades every single day. It is helping me to improve my skills as it is very challenging for me, and I love doing exciting things as an actor.”

Hiba Nawab has evoked praise and  appreciation from the audience with her double role in Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai.

Talking about the challenges faced by her in assaying the two characters in the show, Hiba Nawab said ,'For CP, I do method acting and my technique remains simple, that is to keep myself in her place and react as I will do. But for the mystery girl, Chandra Prabha, I listen to my makers, directors, and creative team to improve my expressions and make my acting believable.”

Asked how she managed to maintain a distinction between the two different characters in Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai,  the actress said, 'there are some points which I keep in mind to create a balance between the characters- the first one being two different looks, which is really important and impactful since the styling for both the girls are different. Secondly, their way of reacting must be different from each other. While Chandra Prabha keeps talking in typical Hindi shayaris, CP is today’s Delhi girl, who uses slangs in her vocabulary and is a fashionista. I act differently for both the characters and keep myself balanced to ensure the differences are visible.”

Hiba Nawab said that playing the two different characters has helped her to explore herself as an artist.

“For this role, I am learning different shades of acting every day and getting a chance to explore myself. I enjoy performing both the characters and I believe whenever you enjoy your portrayals, that brings out the best version of you as an actor. Since I have never played a mysterious character before, it is challenging as well as exciting for me as its rare for an artist to get such a role,'she said.

Being aired on Sab TV from March, Jijaji Chhat Parr Koii Hai is the story of two families, the Sharmas and the Jindals, who  live in a two-storey house in Punjabi Bagh, whose ownership is claimed by both and are  constantly at loggerheads with each other.

The show, which features Hiba Nawab,  Shubhashish Jha and Anup Upadhyay in lead roles,has captured the imagination of the fans and managed to entertain audiences with its well-crafted storyline.

Not only have the never-ending hilarious banters between Jaldirams and Jindals intrigued viewers, but the show has been keeping them hooked with its spooky elements giving a much-needed comic relief.
