Mrinmai Kolwalkar and Kasturi Banerjee join the cast of Punchh Beat 2

Ahead of  premiere of Punchh Beat 2, the season 2 of the popular youth drama on Alt Balaji,  female actors Mrinmai Kolwalkar and Kasturi Banerjee have joined  the cast .

Mrinmai Kolwalkar and Kasturi Banerjee , who assayed the roles of professors of Rosewood High in season 1 of the popular youth drama,  are the latest entrants of season 2 of Punchh Beat,  that premieres on AltBalaji and Mx player on June 27.

Mrinmai and Kasturi will join the show as two old professors at Rosewood High.

While Mrinmai plays Bansuri, Kasturi plays Miss Bose. Bansuri is unmarried and every boy's crush. On the other hand, the strict Miss Bose, played by Kasturi, is Divyanka and Aditi's maasi.

Speaking about her character in Puncch Beat2,  Mrinmai said, 'She's the biology teacher, but all that she wants is some perfect chemistry in her love life. She sweeps her students off their feet through her impeccable style. She's desirable, hot, and the good news is she's single.'

Talking about playing the character of the strict professor Miss Bose at Rosewood High, Kasturi Banerjee said,'"she is strict, very old school- goes by the book and is big on ‘following rules’. There was no question of not coming back!  Love being Miss Bose and bossing around!

Totally unlike me; so it’s always a challenge. If you can psyche yourself to think from her point of view you ll find her less evil,."
 
Kasturi, who was also in the first season of the show, has earlier  featured in several popular TV shows like Kundali Bhagya, Kawach and has also won accolades’ and appreciation for her international movies like “Shadows of Time and “Ryan & I” ( an adaptation of Satyajit Ray’s “Dui Bondhu”)

The teaser, posters and trailer of the show  have generated tremendous buzz among viewers for the show.

The trailer,  released earlier this month,  was well-received by the audience.

The trailer, which  started with a scenic view of Rosewood High, gave us a glimpse of the changing equations in high school.

Padmini and Rahat are the new love birds in Rosewood High, while Ranbir gets a new ally in Meesha. Along with dance, drama, celebrations, preparations, this season will also see a murder.

The murder mystery will amp up the drama quotient and  keep the audiences guessing about the murderer and their victim. A rush of adrenaline awaits viewers at Rosewood High with a dark twist.

Starring Priyank Sharma, Harshita Gaur, Siddharth Sharma, Khushi Joshi and Samyukhta Hegde in primary roles Punchh Beat 2 also features Kajol Tyagi, Urfi Javed, Nikhil Bhambri, Sindhuja Turlapati, Niki Aneja Walia, Samir Soni, Rushad Rana, Kasturi Banerjee, Poppy Jabbal, Anuj Choudhry and Mrinmai Kolwalkar in prominent roles. The second season is produced by Balaji Telefilms and directed by Akshay Choubey.

The first season of the popular youth drama was released in 2019, and fans of the show have been anticipating the second season.
