Thrilling start of the New Year 2024 with Merry Christmas


Starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, the Hindi Tamil bilingual  releases January 12

After an action packed 2023 with blockbusters like Pathaan,  Gadar2, Jawaan and Dunki, the year 2024 begins on a thrilling note with the thriller Merry Christmas.

Starring Katrina Kaif in the lead opposite Vijay Sethupathi,  Merry Christmas,  a Hindi Tamil bilingual,  releases in cinemas across India on January 12.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan,  Merry Christmas is the story of two strangers meeting on a fateful Christmas Eve.

A night of delirious romance turns into a nightmare.

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Sanjay Routray, Jaya Taurani and Kewal Garg, ‘Merry Christmas’ is the first collaboration between Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures.



Tamil Hindi bilingual Merry Christmas releases in cinemas on January 12





At a promotional event in Delhi, the makers presented not one but two diverse trailers of the film filmed in both Hindi and Tamil .

Present at the press conference were actor Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi, Director Sriram Raghavan, producer Ramesh Taurani, Sanjay Routray, Kewal Garg and lyricist Varun Grover.

The makers also showcased a melodious track ‘Nazar Teri Toofan’ sung by Papon, with lyrics penned by Varun Grover and music composed by Pritam. The melodious song has Pritam and Varun Grover coming together for the first time! The movie promises the cinephiles thrills along with the January chills. 

While the Hindi version  features talents like Sanjay Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Pratima Kannan, and Tinnu Anand, the Tamil version stars stalwarts like Radhika Sarathkumar, Shanmugaraja, Kavin Jay Babu, and Rajesh Williams.

Radhika Apte and Ashwini Kalsekar have special cameos in BOTH versions. 

Merry Christmas marks the Tamil debut of Sriram , Katrina Kaif and music composer Pritam.

It is Vijay Sethupathi's third Hindi film .

The release of the film comes after several postponements.  Initially,  it was scheduled for release in December ,2022 but got postponed due to production delays.  Later, it was scheduled to release on the eve of Christmas 2023 but was postponed to January 12, 2024.
