Film inspired by the story of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath hit cinemas this week
Team of The UP Files' visited Delhi this weekend to promote the film

In what could be seen as a case of real life mirroring 'reel life ', a new film taking viewers through the challenges faced by Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath in governing the state and bolstering the law and order released in cinemas this week.
'The UP Files', a film that chronicles the challenges faced by Uttar Pradesh Chief minister Yogi Adityanath in pursuit of his efforts to govern the state and implement his vision, released in cinemas across India this week.
Directed by Neeraj Sahai, 'The UP Files', which released in cinemas on July 26, takes audiences through the challenges faced by Yogi Adityanath in governing the complex state of Uttar Pradesh as he takes on the land mafia and criminals in an effort to bolster the law and order situation there.
The film features veteran actor Manoj Joshi as Abhay Singh, who gets elected as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state of the country, and straight away gets to work to resolve the various issues and challenges facing the state.
The role of Abhay Singh , assayed by Manoj Joshi, is clearly inspired by UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath , who has been lauded for his efforts to improve the law and order situation in the state after he got elected to the post.
Besides Manoj Joshi, 'The UP Files' stars several accomplished actors like Manjari Fadnnis, Pooja Dwivedi, Ali Asgar, Shahbaz Khan, Anil George(of Mirzapur fame) , Aman Verma and Milind Gunaji.
The team of The UP Files', including its director Neeraj Sahai, producer Kuldip Umrao Singh Oswal and Anil George, visited Delhi this weekend to promote the film.
Talking to media, Anil George, who has grabbed attention with his portrayal in the popular web series Mirzapur, said that in the movie The UP Files, he plays a character called Abdullah.
'I play a character called Abdullah. He is a negative character and plays a pivotal role in the film, 'Anil, who is a known face in the world of films, said.
Probed further about his character, Anil said, 'you need to watch the movie for more information. '
For director Neeraj Sahai, bringing real life on celluloid has been a challenging experience.
The director and producer said that the movie touches on some thought-provoking themes and raises important questions .
The UP Files was earlier scheduled for release on July 12 but had to be postponed to July 26.
