The film begins with Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja (Akshay Kumar) shown interrogating Ahmed Hussain.
The story then goes in flashback. After the Pakistani attack on the Indian airbase, which leaves several Indian soldiers martyred, Wing Commander K O Ahuja prepares his officers for the retaliatory attack on Pakistan.
The mission is carried out under the leadership of Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja. Among those in his team are T Krishna Vijaya(Veer Pahadia in his debut role) and Air Commodore David Lawrance (Manish Choudhary).
During the mission, India destroys the hi tech aircrafts of the Pakistani Air Force with his old aircrafts, avenging the deaths of its soldiers. However, during the mission T Krishna Vijaya goes missing.
Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja, who sees in T Krishna Vijaya glimpses of his martyred brother, searches for him for 23 years. The rest of the film is about whether Wing Commander Kumar Om Ahuja's efforts to find T Krishna Vijaya bear fruit.
Writers and directors Abhishek Anil Kapoor and Sandeep Kewlani keep the audience hooked all through the film with a taut and gripping screenplay.
