Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra today appealed to people to donate to help build infrastructure to fight Covid in India to provide relief for lakhs of people affected by the virus infection.
In a video appeal issued on social media, Priyanka Chopra said that the donation will go directly into providing Healthcare physical infrastructure (including covid care centres, isolation centres and oxygen generation plants), medical equipment and medicine support and mobilization.
'India, my home, us suffering the World's worst Covid crisis. And we all need to help! People are dying jn record numbers. There is illness everywhere and it us continuing to spread and kill at great speed and scale.
I have set up a fundraiser with Guveindia, the largest fundraiser on the grand in India,providing Covud relief. Whatever you can spare,truly makes a difference. Nearlyb27 million people follow me on here. If even 100,000 donate 10 Dollars, that's one million Dollars and that's huge.
