Trailer of Ray on Netflix unveils stories of human vulnerabilities

As india celebrates the centenary of master filmmaker  Satyajit Ray, an anthology of short stories of the National awarded, centriing on themes of Ego, envy, revenge and betrayal and bringing out human vulnerabilities is set to stream on Netflix from June 25.

Netflix today unveiled the trailer of the anthology of stories by master filmmaker Satyajit Ray, which bring out the various vulnerabilities of Human beings which give rise to feelings of ego, envy , revenge and betrayal. 

 Titled Ray, the anthology will feature an ensemble cast comprising Manoj Bajpayee,  Kay Kay Menkn, Ali Fazal, Harsh Kapoor, Radhika Madan, Anandita Bose , Raghubir Yadav, Manoj Pahwa, Bidita Bag, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Shweta Basu Prasad , Gajraj Rao and Lovleen Mishra,

The trailer shows how the vulnerabilities of Human beings gives rise to feelings of Ego envy, revenge and betrayal .

Produced by Viacom 18 studios in association with Tipping Point , Ray will feature four short stories by Satyajit Ray directed by Abhishek Chaubey, Srijit Mukherjee and Vasan Bala.

The four short stories- Forget Me Not, Behripiya, Spotlight, and Hungama Hai Kyun Barpa , bring out "vulnerabilities and multiple shades of each character'.

The streaming platform had last month shared a teaser trailer of the  anthology.

Besides his critically acclaimed films, Satyajit Ray is also known for his short stories that explore themes of love,  lust and betrayal. 

India is celebrating the centenary of Satyajit Ray this year.

The release of anthology of short stories by Satyajit Ray comes following the success of the anthology of short stories by Rabindranath Tagore,  streamed on Netflix last year.

Titled Stories by Rabindranath Tagore, the television series was directed by Anurag Basu.

The anthology of stories by Rabindranath Tagore featured an ensemble cast comprising Radhika Apte,Shreya Narayan,Jannat Zubair Rahmani,Bhanu Uday
Tara Alisha Berry,Sumeet Vyas and  Rohan Shah.
