Mission Majnu releases on Netflix on January 20

Mission Majnu is the first film where Sidharth Malhotra will be playing a spy

Ending a long wait for cinelovers,  much anticipated spy thriller film Mission Majnu is set to release on OTT on January 20.

Directed by Shantanu Bagchi and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Amar Butala and Garima Mehta, Mission Majnu, the 'untold story ' of India's greatest covert operation, before and during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, will release on Netflix on January 20.

Mission Majnu stars Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles.

It also features Sidharth Malhotra,Rashmika Mandanna,Kumud Mishra, Parmeet Sethi, Sharib Hashmi, Mir Sarwar and Zakir Hussain in pivotal roles

Inspired by true events, Mission Majnu uncover one of India’s most important missions during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 during which one wrong move can make or break the mission.

Mission Majnu's release  on Netflix comes after numerous delays  caused by the Covid pandemic and other reasons.

The producers of the film, who had earlier planned a theatrical release for the film,  later decided to release it on OTT.

Mission Majnu will be the first film where Siddharth Malhotra will be playing a spy.

The actor is quite excited about the film and awaiting response from audiences.

“I'm quite excited about Mission Majnu since it will be my first time playing a spy. It shows India's most thrilling covert mission, which transformed the politics between India and its neighbouring nation in the 1970s. With Netflix on board, I am confident that this incredible narrative will resonate with people all around the world,'the actor  said.

Producers Amar Butala and Garima Mehta said that their  journey with Mission Majnu has been an exhilarating one.
