For Sumbul Touqeer,  who endeared herself to every household as Imlie,  Kavya is not just a character.

Rather, it is a 'representation of many women who endure experiences that test their resilience, but it is their unwavering intent that leads them to achieve big feats'.

Ahead of the launch of the much awaited show,, being aired on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm, Sumbul Touqeer said, 'what drew me to Kavya, is that she is such an inspiring character. Kavya has one purpose in life: to be an IAS Officer and this purpose gives her the courage to face all the challenges that life throws at her. '

''Kavya is not just a character. She is a representation of many women who endure experiences that test their resilience, but it is their unwavering intent that leads them to achieve big feats,'Sumbul Touqeer said.

Along with  Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Kavya - Ek Jazba Ek Junoon also stars Mishkat Varma, and Anuj Sullere in pivotal roles.

Kavya-Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon, which is another in the line of shows on Sony Entertainment Television that  present stories of powerful characters that challenge prevailing stereotypes in the country, is a progressive narrative of a strong woman, driven by her purpose of being an IAS Officer.

Sumbul Touqeer's Co starred   Mishkat Varma plays the role of Adiraj Pradhan, a genuine advocate of feminism who wholeheartedly celebrates their achievements and crosses paths with Kavya at the civil service academy.

Mishkat Varma said that what drew him towards the character of Adiraj is the fact that he is quite different from the male characters being portrayed on Indian television today.

“I am so excited about the opportunity of playing Adiraj, a character who is so different from the male characters portrayed on Indian television,'Mishkatsaid.

Talking about the character,  he said, 'he is a 'lazy genius,' and his captivating charm is matched equally by his remarkable intellect. I personally believe in giving women the credit that they deserve and calling out inequality, which is a similarity that I found in Adiraj as well.”

Also featuring in the show is Anuj Sullere who takes on the role of Shubham, Kavya's fiancé.

Despite his deep affection for Kavya and her aspiration to become an IAS officer, he asks her to choose between their relationship and her career.

When confronted with this challenge, Kavya is steadfast in her resolve to be an IAS Officer and goes to the extent of breaking her engagement when faced with the choice of giving up on her purpose.

Talking about the show,  Anuj Sullere said, ' Women are an unstoppable force - they do not need a man to attain their lives or attain their goals. It’s not validation they seek, its respect; and I believe as men we should look at supporting their dreams by respecting them and their choices; and leave the rest to them to see the magic unfold!

This show beautifully explores the complexities of Shubham and Kavya’s relationship, the mixed emotions they experience, and their individual pursuit of professional and personal aspirations.”

Sony Entertainment Television has been at the forefront of presenting stories of powerful characters that challenge prevailing stereotypes in the country.
