Ram Setu fails to measure up to its hype, earns Rs 55 cr in the extended Diwali weekend

After the initial buzz, the Akshay Kumar Jacqueline Fernandez Nushratt Bhharruccha starrer Ram Setu failed to maintain its good run on the extended Diwali weekend, earning just Rs 55 cr in its opening weekend across India.
After an outstanding Rs 15 cr on its opening day on Tuesday, the religious drama saw a drop in its collections in its subsequent days.
The film saw a drop in its earnings to Rs 11 cr on Its second day on Wednesday, Rs 6 cr on Thursday , Rs 6 cr on Friday, Rs 7 cr on Saturday and Rs 8 cr on Sunday.
It's business in its extended six day opening weekend is Rs 55 cr.

Trade experts feel that the film has failed to enthuse audiences which explains its drop in collections after the above average response on its opening day.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, Ram Setu is the story of archeologist Aryan, who who is investigating the nature of Ram Setu, also known as Adam's Bridge.
As he sets out to prove that the historical Ram Setu is not a man made creation, Aryan stumbles upon evidence that it is a man made.
The archaeologist , however, must race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu before evil forces destroy the pillar of India's heritage.
