Web Series based on the IC 814 Hijack to stream on Netflix next week

Continuing the trend of web series based on real life incidents on OTT,  a series based on the horrific IC 814 Hijack is set to stream on Netflix from next week.

IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack,  a series that chronicles the longest Hijack in the history of the country,  will stream on Netflix from August 29.

Directed by Anubhav Sinha,  the web series will take viewers through the incident surrounding the Hijack of the Indian Airlines flight IC 814 en route from Kathmandu to Delhi on December 24, 1999 wherein the hijackers diverted the flight to Kandahar under Taliban control.


Web series based on IC 814 Hijack incident to stream on Netflix next week 





Created by Anubhav Sinha and Trishant Srivastava,  the web series will deal with the dramatic events  on the flight that carried 188 people.

The  series,  which stars Vijay Varma, Karan Desai,  Renuka Purohit, Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Parealekhaa.

The longest hijack in the history of Indian aviation  the IC 814 Hijack lasted seven days.
