Bikramjeet Kanwarpal of Rocket Singh, Special Ops fame dies of Covid,Tinsel Town expresses condolence

Actor Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, famous for his roles in the film Rocket Singh and web series Special Ops,  has died from coronavirus infection,  becoming the latest celebrity from Tinsel Town to succumb to the virus infection amid the unprecedented surge in covid cases in the country, 

Bikramjeet Kanwarpal, who has appeared in films like Rocket Singh - Salesman of the Year, Corporate, 1971, Sharman,Page 3, 2 States, Heyy Babyy and The Ghazi Attack and in television shows and web series like 24, Diya Aur Baati Hum and Special Ops, died yesterday due to Covidvrelated complications.

He was 52.

Besides working jn films, Bikramjeet Kanwarpal has also appeared in television shows like 24, Kismet, Adaalat, Diya Aur Baati Hum, Yeh Hai Chahatein and Dil Hi To Hai and the popular web series Special Ops that is being streamed on Disney Hotstar.

Celebrities condole death of Bikramjeet Kanwarpal 

The news of Bikramjeet Kanwarpal's death was shared by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt on social media.

Sharing the news, Vikram Bhatt , who has worked with Bikramjeet Kanwarpal on many films, including Creature 3D and Horror Story, said '"Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal passes away. Taken from us by the cruel pandemic. I have done a lot of films with him and this doesn't get closer home. The days are turning into one long obituary and yet each life that we lose cannot be just a number. We cannot allow it to become a number. Each a special friend. May his soul rest in peace."

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit , actor Neel Nitin Mukesh, Richard Chadha and Rohit Bose Roy condoled the death of the actor .

“Sad to hear about the demise of actor Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal this morning due to #Covid. A retired army officer, Kanwarpal had played supporting roles in many films and television serials. Heartfelt condolences to his family & near ones,'Ashoke Pandit said.

Expressed his condolences, Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh said, ''extremely sad news . I’ve known Major Bikramjeet for so many years. He and I have worked on so many films together. The last being Bypass Road. Such a fantastic, encouraging and energetic human being he was and will always be remembered as. #RIP My dear friend will miss you.'

Actor Richa Chadha also expressed her condolences on death of Bikramjeet Kanwarpal.

'Rest in peace Major. Gone too soon!,'she posted.

'And we lose another one... The happiest, most gentlemanly, always positive and smiling Major Bikramjeet... RIP ,'actor Rohit Bose Roy said.

Bikramjeet Kanwarpal is the latest celebrity from Tinsel Town to have succumbed to the virus. . Earlier this year,  music composer Shravan had died of the virus infection.  Last year, music composer had died from the coronavirus infection.

The last few weeks have witnessed an unprecedented surge in covid cases in the country.

Over 4 lakh cases were recorded in the country in the last 24 hours, the highest recorded jn a day in the world.

Several celebrities from the world of entertainment and politics have in recent weeks been infected with the coronavirus infection.

These include former Congress president Rahul Gandhi,  former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,  Kerala chief minister Pinari Vijayan,  Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa   , actors Aamir khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali,  Satish Kaushik  Akshay Kumar,  television Actor Hina Khan,  Rupali Ganguly and Aditya Narayan.

The worsening covid situation in the country, especially in Maharashtra, has adversely impacted the earnings of Bollywood films Roohi, Mumbai Saga, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, Saina, Koi Jaane Na and Flight.

It has also led makers of mega starrers Haathi Mere Saathi, Bunty Aur Babli2, Chehre , Sooryavanshi and Satyamev Jayate 2 to postpone release of their films due to the worsening covid situation.

It has also put a question mark on release of mega starrers scheduled for release in cinemas in next few months.
