The last few weeks have seen a sharp spurt in COVID-19 cases in many states in the country, including Maharashtra and Punjab.
The country recorded over 1 lakh cases of COVID during the last 24 hours, of which 57000 cases were recorded in Maharashtra alone.
With the situation remaining grim, it is only a matter of time before the makers of other mega starrers also postpone the release of the films.
Bollywood has several mega starrers lined up in the coming months, which would be severely impacted if the covid situation in the country continues to worsen.
