As Disney Hotstar gets ready to stream The Big Bull, one of the most awaited films this year, tomorrow, audience expectations are sky high as they look forward to another class act from Abhishek Bachchan after the 2007 film Guru , helmed by Mani Rathnam.
In The Big Bull, which is based on the rise of Hemant Shah from a chawl resident to becoming one of the most successful stock brokers in the country, Abhishek Bachchan will be looking to wow audiences in the same way he had bowled them over with his masterly act in Mani Rathnam's Guru.

Released in 2007, Guru was inspired by the life of business tycoon Dhirubhai Ambani though Mani Rathnam claimed that it was a work of fiction.
Written and Directed by Mani Rathnam, Guru chronicled the rise of Gurukant Desai, resident of a small village in Gujarat, to becoming the owner of India's largest company.
The film featured Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, R. Madhavan, Vidya Balan, Mithun Chakraborty and Roshan Seth, with Mallika Sherawat in a guest appearance.
Abhishek Bachchan won tremendous applause from the audiences as well as film critics for his virtuoso act as Gurukant Desai.
Abhishek Bachchan as well as Aishwarya Rai, who played a role said to be based on Kokila Dhirubhai Ambani, won acclaim from critics in India and abroad for their performances.
The film won several honors at the various film awards including the Filmfare Awards, the Screen awards and the IIFA Awards.
The various promos and the trailer of The Big Bull have suggested that Abhishek Bachchan features in the film in yet another inspirational rags to riches story .
Directed by Kookie Gulati and produced by Ajay Devgn, Anand Pandit, Vikrant Sharma and Kumar Mangat Pathak, The Big Bull takes viewers through the journey of the protagonist Hemant Shah from the resident of a small chawl to becoming a famous stockbroker .
The Big Bull stars Abhishek Bachchan in the lead with Nikita Dutta, Ileana D'Cruz, Soham Shah, Sumit Vats, Ram Kapoor and Lekha Prajapati in supporting roles.
While Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of Hemant Shah, Nikita Dutta plays his wife Priya.
Soham Shah plays Hemant Shah's brother.
The promos and the trailer of the web series have left the fans of Abhishek Bachchan excited as the film reminds them of the role played by Abhishek Bachchan in Mani Rathnam's Guru, in which he played the character modelled after Dhirubhai Ambani.
In this sense, the audiences would be looking forward to another class act from Abhishek Bachchan after his career defining portrayal in the Mani Rathnam film.
In recent years, Abhishek Bachchan has also impressed audiences with his performance in Dhoom, Bunty Aur Babli, Manmarziyan and Ludo.
