A host of Bollywood stars entertain on OTT in February, March

With multiple shutdowns of cinemas due to the Covid-19 pandemic leading to the Emergence of OTT as the ultimate destination for entertainment lovers over the last two years, the digital screen has become the favourite playground for mainstream Bollywood actors who have been entertaining cinelovers in various web series and films streamed on various streaming platforms.
While last couple of years have seen Bollywood actors like Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Emraan Hashmi, Manoj bajpayee, Raj Babbar, Poonam Dhillon and Prachi Desai, the months of February and March witness Bollywood actors like Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Yami Gautam make their presence felt on the digital space through engrossing thrillers and social dramas.
While Deepika Padukone made her debut on OTT with Dharma Productions' Gehraiyaan, an engrossing tale of love, lies and betrayal, Yami Gautam will makes her presence felt on the digital screen with A Thursday, a thriller about a playschool teacher kidnapping 16 students of her school and putting forth a series of demands in return for their release.
The month of March will seen Bollywood megastar Ajay Devgn foray on the digital medium with Rudra The Edge of Darkness, a thriller that delves into the psyche of highly intelligent criminals and the detective who hunts them.
February will witness the Bollywood 90s diva Madhuri Dixit make her digital debut with The Fame Game, an engrossing drama that provides viewers a peek into the mysterious world of actress Anamika Anand and the highs and lows that accompany an actress' rise to fame.
Gehraiyaan on Amazon Prime Video
After carving a niche for herself in Bollywood with performances like Bajirao Mastani, Ram Leela, Tamasha and Padmaavat, Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone makes her foray on the digital screen with Gehraaiyan, an engrossing tale of love, lies and betrayal.
Being streamed on Amazon Prime Video from February 11, Gehraaiyaan is the story of Alisha (Deepika Padukone) whose personal and professional life has reached dead-end. While on one hand she is struggling to find investors for her Yoga App, her relationship with her writer boyfriend Karan (Dhairya Karwa) is going nowhere.
Alisha’s cousin, Tia,(Ananya Pandey) , who is newly engaged to Zain (Siddhant Chaturvedi) ,invites the couple to their Alibaug beach house. Zain and Alisha quickly bond due to their traumatic past . What follows is a tale of love, lies and betrayal.
Directed by Shakun Batra and written by him jointly with Ayesha Devitre, Sumit Roy and Yash Sahai, Gehraaiyaan has been jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Jouska Films.
The film stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday, Dhairya Karwa with Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapoor in supporting roles.
While the fikm has opened to mixed review, Deepika Padukone's performance has come in for praise.

The Fame Game on Netflix
90s Bollywood actress , the charming and graceful Madhuri Dixit Nene makes her digital debut with The Fame Game , an engrossing drama that provides viewers a peek into the mysterious world of actress Anamika Anand .
Directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli, The Fame Game, starring Madhuri Dixit as actress Anamika Anand, will take viewers through the highs and lows that accompany an actress' rise to fame.
The trailer of The Fame Game, released last week, takes viewers through the illusory and ephemeral world of fame that accompanies the stardom in the tinsel world.
The series also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Mulay, Muskkaan Jaferi, Lakshvir Saran and Rajshri Deshpande in pivotal roles.
Talking about the series, producer Karan Johar said,“It’s a sophisticated, complex family drama that shows you how fame, despite being so covetable, can turn your life upside down. Sri Rao, Bejoy Nambiar and Karishma Kohli beautifully capture the complexities and hidden realities of a Bollywood superstar, while highlighting relatable elements of family and trust. Rudra on Disney Hotstar
After wowing audiences with his performance in Bhuj The Pride of India and making his mark as producer on OTT with films like The Bigg Bull and the web series The Great Indian Murder on Disney Hotstar, Bollywood megastar Ajay Devgn will be seen on the digital screen in the upcoming web series Rudra The Edge of Darkness.
To be streamed on Disney Hotstar from March 4, Rudra The Edge of Darkness, set in Mumbai, is a race-against-the-clock thriller that delves into the psyche of highly intelligent criminals and the detective who hunts them. Each episode in the series features a new threat even as the overarching series arc continues, portraying the grave personal cost at which DCP Rudra Veer Singh pursues criminals and killers and the unlikely friendship that he forms with Aliyah, a genius sociopath.
The six-episode series is an Indian rendition of the globally successful British series, Luther.
In the series, Mumbai, the metropolis goes beyond being a mere backdrop for our hero’s vigilante actions but sets the very stage upon which the war between good and evil is waged. Even in this darkness, Rudra believes there is still love in the world. Because in the end, humanity is all we've got. And it is for this belief that Rudra sacrifices everything he has.
Rudra-The Edge of Darkness will be available exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar from 4th March 2022 in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali.

A Thursday on Disney Hotstar
After the success of her last film Bhoot Police, Bollywood actress Yami Gautam will be seen in A Thursday, a thriller about a playschool teacher (Yami Gautam) kidnapping 16 small students and putting forth a series of demands, shaking the Mumbai police and city, while sending repercussions throughout the country and its politicians.
Directed by Behzaad Khambata and written by him with Ashley Lobo, A Thursday stars Yami Gautam along with Dimple Kapadia, Atul Kulkarni and Maya sarao.
The trailer of the film, released last week, has grabbed eyeballs for its thrill element and impressive performance by Yami Gautam.
Yami Gautam was last seen in the horror movie Bhoot Police, streamed on Disney Hotstar last year.
