Amid a surfeit of television shows reinforcing gender stereotypes and regressive image of women in Indian society, one show that has stood out with its sensitive depiction of problems and discrimination faced by women in society and at the workplace is the medical drama Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii,  being telecast on Sony entertainment television.

After a glorious run of 65 episodes,  during which viewers were given a true picture of life of doctors and health care workers associated with the medical profession,  Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii will bid adeau to the viewers next month.

As the show wrapped up its shoot earlier this week,  it's lead actor Additi Gupta went down memory lane to reminisce sweet memories of her association with the show.

Additi,  who has won plaudits for her portrayal of Dr Deepika Sinha,  who encounters discrimination in society and workplace as she  works to realise her career goals,  said that playing the role has been a memorable experience for her.

Posting a picture of herself with the cast and crew of the show after the wrap up shot of Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii , Additi said,'it's said "somewhere on your journey,  don't forget to turn around and enjoy the view". Honestly,  I  am enjoying this view that I got! IT'S A WRAP for Dhadkan.  Beautiful 8 months with beautiful people...For the first time in so long, have lived a character... From treating patients to monitoring junior residents...I have felt it all...I am going to embrace the Deepika in me for life!'

A finite series of 65 episodes,  Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii will come to an end on March 6.

The lead actor of the show Rohit Purohit also posted a note on the wrap up of the show.

'And it's a wrap...for dhadkanzindaggiikii. Had an amazing  experience working with all these lovely people...all the best guys, you guys rock,'he said.

Being telecast on Sony entertainment television from Monday to Friday at 10 pm,  Dhadkan; Zindaggii Kii tells the story of a woman challenging patriarchy in society and workplace to pursue her career goals.

The series shows Deepika struggle to sustain her position of the chief at a hospital despite being the best doctor.

The show, which began airing on December 6 last year,  features Rohit Purohit , who played Alexander in the period drama Porus,  in the male lead. Besides Additi Gupta and Rohit Purohit, Dhadkan; Zindaggi Kii also features Nishanth Singh , Raghav Dhir and Almaa Hussain in key roles.

A large number of viewers expressed sadness over the show coming to an end so soon.

Many viewers said that they felt connected to the show,  which conveys a message that resonates with society. 

The viewers lauded the performance of Additi Gupta in the show.
