The former Miss Universe has a long 'wish list ' of roles for her second innings

After a brief hiatus from films, Sushmita Sen has been grabbing eyeballs with her choice of roles in films and on OTT in the last few years.

After  making a remarkable comeback to the screen as the powerful Aarya Sareen in the action drama Aarya,  the former Miss Universe has won rave reviews for playing a transgender activist in the web series Taali, being streamed on Jio Cinema this year.

As she gets ready for the third season of her successful web series Aarya on Disney Hotstar,  which is scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform on November 3, Sushmita is excited about her second innings as an actor.

Reeling out her long 'wish list' of roles in her second innings,  Sushmita Sen said that the list of roles she craves to  do is endless.

'I am grateful that the film industry welcomed me with open arms  when I returned to the screen after an eight year hiatus. This is because my fans have stood by me ever since  I made my entry in Bollywood when I was just 18 years old , Sushmita Sen said while addressing the press at the launch of the trailer of Aarya Season 3, which is scheduled to release on Disney Hotstar on November 3.

Sushmita Sen, who completes 30 years in films in 2024, reveals her 'wish list ' of roles she wants to do in her second innings.

'In my second innings I am raring to try my hand at roles I have not done till now.
I want to do a mature love story,a kick-ass action film...I want to play the most menacing villain...the list is endless, 'Sushmita Sen said in the presence of her co stars Sikandar Kher, Vikas Kumar and veteran actor Ila Arun,  who makes her entry in the show this season.

Created and co-directed by the ace filmmaker Ram Madhvani and co-produced by Amita Madhavni, Ram Madhvani, Ram Madhvani Films and Endemol Shine India, Aarya Season 3 will see Sushmita Sen reprise her role as Aarya Sareen.

Besides Sushmita Sen, the web series features a talented ensemble cast which includes Ila Arun, Sikandar Kher, Indraneil Sengupta, Vikas Kumar, Maya Sarao, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Shweta Pasricha, Viren Vazirani, Pratyaksh Panwar, Aarushi Bajaj, Bhupendra Jadawat and Vishwajeet Pradhan amongst others.

Talking about the new season and transformation of her character from Season 1 to season 3, Sushmita Sen said, 'From season 1 to season 3, Aarya was trying to gather things which she could keep safe. Now in season 3 she has nothing more to lose. And that makes her the most dangerous women when she has nothing more to lose or save.

After Season 2,everyone was heard complaining why she was not acting like a Don. Well in Season 2 one will see her acting like a Don - a woman who is unapologetic about the seat she sits on. I find her to be very very dangerous this season. Hers is  a character to look out for.''

Expressing her excitement about the new season,  Sushmita Sen said, 'It the most exciting season. The proceedings are fast paced.''
