Phone Bhoot earns Rs 7.10 cr in opening weekend

Continuing its poor run at box office in India,  horror comedy Phone bhoot earned just Rs 7.10cr in its opening weekend.

After earning a poor Rs 1.85 cr on its opening day,  Phone Bhoot saw a nominal growth on Saturday and Sunday to Rs 2.5 cr and Rs 2.75 cr respectively.

Total earnings of the film in its opening weekend is Rs 7.10 cr.

Despite the presence of Katrina Kaif,  Phone bhoot failed to enthuse audiences,  earning just Rs 2 cr on its opening day.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the banner of Excel Entertainment, Phone  Bhoot stars Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khattar,  Siddhant Chaturvedi and Jackie Shroff.

Released after a considerable delay due to COVID-19,  Phone Bhoot did not have much hype surrounding it.

The film did well in Mumbai, Delhi and NCR . However,  as has been the case with most films released post the pandemic,  Phone Bhoot has had a lacklustre response despite the presence of a bankable star like Katrina Kaif.

The other release of the week,  Mili, continued its woeful show at the box office, earning Rs 1.5 cr on its opening weekend.

After earning Rs 40 lakh on its opening day,  the film showed minimal growth on Saturday and Sunday to Rs 50 lakh and Rs 60 lakh respectively.

The film has earned Rs 1.5 cr in its opening weekend. 

Mili earns Rs 1.5 cr in its opening weekend 




A survival thriller film, Mili, directed by Mathukutty Xavier, follows the happenings with the protagonist Mili Naudiyal, who gets stuck in a freezer. It is the story of how she fights to stay alive.

Mili is the remake of  2019 Malayalam-language film Helen, directed by Mathukutty Xavier.

Produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor in the  title role.  It also stars Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa in pivotal roles.
