Sumbul Touqeer Khan says the character of Kavya has taught her to always confront challenges head-on

Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon, starring the immensely talented Sumbul Touqeer Khan in the titular role as Kavya, showcases the journey of an IAS officer determined to serve the common man.

Driven by her purpose to be an IAS officer, Kavya is unafraid to make tough choices and goes beyond the call of duty when put to the test. In the ongoing storyline, viewers are about to witness Kavya fearlessly taking on the daunting task of reopening the Basant Khedi Hospital, which is shrouded in the shadows of a painful past. Closed due to her late sister Navya’s alleged negligence, Kavya is determined to rectify the damage, despite the memories associated with the hospital.

However, her mentor, Jaideep (Vinay Jain), throws yet another curveball her way – he removes her from the Basant Khedi project. And if fate hadn’t been cruel enough, her only confidant, Adiraj Pradhan (Mishkat Varma), seemingly betrays her as well!

Kavya will further be challenged by Adiraj’s father and politician Giriraj Pradhan (Govind Pandey)who plots to seize the hospital's land. But the burning question remains: Will Kavya emerge victorious in the face of adversity? The answers lie in the upcoming episodes of this fast-paced and intriguing show.

Excited about the latest development in the show,  Sumbul Touqeer Khan said, 'I believe that when challenges to come your way, it is then that you discover your own strength and worth. This same resilience is embodied in Kavya, a determined young woman with dreams, adept at handling adversity and proving her worth in such incidents.”

On the lessons learnt from the character of Kavya Bansal,  Sumbul Touqeer Khan said,“In life, you encounter various individuals - some enrich your existence, while others try to shatter it, even betray you. Yet, you glean lessons from these experiences. In Kavya's life, Adhiraj Is her friend, offering support at every turn. However, it's a poignant truth that those who love you the most can also inflict the deepest wounds. What I've learned, both from life and Kavya, is that irrespective of the challenges life may throw your way, always confront them head-on, never shy away. Ultimately, victory is yours if your intentions remain pure."

Kavya Ek Jazbaa Ek Junoon is being telecast on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm.
