Kartik Aaryan begins shooting for dark romantic thriller Freddy,  calls it a film close to his heart

Bollywood's new heartthrob Kartik Aaryan has commenced shooting for the dark romantic thriller Freddy.

Kartik today shared a  picture from the shoot for Freddy.

The actor called Freddy as a film close to his heart.

'A film that’s been close to my heart, long before it began. Finally he comes to life !! Now shooting #Freddy ,'Kartik said.

A dark romantic thriller Freddy  is being produced by Ekta Kapoor  and directed by Shashank Ghosh.

Shooting for the film, being produced by Ekta Kapoor in collaboration with Northern Lights Films of Jay Shewakramani, began on August 1 in Mumbai.

Kartik has said that with Freddy,  he is charting into an unexplored territory.

“As an actor, I crave to explore different facades of entertainment and with Freddy, I’m venturing into an uncharted territory which is both exciting and intriguing in equal measures. I look forward to dwelling in the world of Freddy and bring alive this dark romantic thriller. It also marks my first collaboration with a visionary like Ekta Kapoor and creatives forces like Jayu and Shashanka. Couldn’t have asked for a better team on this new journey,'Kartik said.

Freddy marks Ekta Kapoor and Shashanka Ghosh’s second film after  Veere Di Wedding.

Freddy is an addition to the various film projects for which Kartik Aaryan has been signed in recent months.

The actor currently has an enviable list of projects which include Dhamaka, horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiya 2, the action thriller Captain India,  directed by Hansal Mehta and Sajid Nadiadwala's untitled project that was earlier titled Satyanarayan Ki Katha.
