Crime thrillers Dial 100 & Hit and run;Anthologies Navarasa & Crimes and confessions on OTT this week

After an eclectic mix of web series and films this week, crimes thrillers, mysteries, romantic comedies and Anthologies will entertain viewers on various digital platforms this week.
Streaming on OTT this week will e crime thrillers Dial 100 and Hit and run , romantic comedy Aani Kaay Hava and Anthologies Navarasa and Crimes and confessions .
While Dial 100 will premiere on ZEE5 on August 6, murder mystery Hit and Run will premiere on Netflix on August 6. Romantic comedy Aani Kaay Hava will premiere on Mx player on August 6 while anthology Navarasa premieres on Netflix on August 6.
Streaming on Alt Balaji on August 7 will be a Crime anthology Crimes and confessions.
Dial 100 on ZEE5
After getting rave reviews for The Family Man 2 on Amazon Prime Video and the the short story Hungama Hai Kyun Barpa in the anthology Ray on Netflix, Manoj Bajpayee will return to entertain viewers in the crime thriller Dial 100, to be streamed on ZEE5 this week.
Being produced by filmmaker Siddharth Malhotra in association with Sapna Malhotra’s Alchemy Films, Dial 100 has been directed by Rensil D Silva.
The film features Manoj Bajpayee, neena Gupta and Sakshi Tanwar in key roles.
Dial 100 will see Manoj Bajpayee play the role of an emergency call operator , who receives a steange call from a stranger (Neena Gupta) on one fateful night which changes his life.
The trailer of the film, released by Zee5 last month promised an engrossing mystery
The trailer showed Neena Gupta making a strange call to Manoj Bajpayee. As he struggles to understand the situation, Neena Gupta is seen taking his wife, played by Sakshi Tanwar, and their son hostage.
The trailer and promos of the film promise a thrilling ride to the viewers.
Presented by Sony Pictures , Dial 100 , announced in December last year, premieres on ZEE5 on August 6.
Manoj Bajpayee was earlier seen in a murder mystery Silence Can You Hear it, which premiered on ZEE5, the Espionage thriller The Family Man 2 on Amazon Prime Video and yhe anthology Ray on Netflix
Navarasa on Netflix
Next week will also witness the release of Navarasa, a Tamil-language anthology web series , on Netflix.
Created by Mani Ratnam, who collaborated with Jayendra Panchapakesan to produce the series through their respective banners Madras Talkies and Qube Cinema Technologies, Navarasa will feature nine stand-alone episodes based on the Indian concept of the Navarasas(nine emotions) .
The nine episodes represent a different emotion or rasa such as anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace and wonder.
The episodes of the anthology series, to be streamed on Netflix from August 6, will be directed by Priyadarshan, Karthik Subbaraj, Vasanth, Arvind Swami, Bejoy Nambiar, Karthick Naren, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sarjun KM and debutant Rathindran R. Prasad.
Navarasa will feature an ensemble cast comprising actors like Suriya ,Vijay Sethupathi, Siddarth, Manikuttan, Naga Shaurya, Satish Kumar, Revathi, Atharvaa , Arvind Swami, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prayaga Martin, Ramya Nambeesan and Nedumudi Venu.
Navarasa is the second big-budget Tamil original from Netflix, after Jagame Thandhiram which was distributed by the platform.

After successful crime thrillers like LSD and Dark 7 White earlier this year, Alt Balaji streaming platform will next week stream a crime anthology featuring stories set in different timelines .
Crimes and confessions, a crime anthology featuring an ensemble of actors including Ankit Batla, Samiksha Batna, Shweta Gulati, Lekha Prajapati and, Ankita Chakraborty , will, premiere on Alt Balaji on August 7.
Featuring five different stories that are set in different time eras, Crimes and confessions will feature Ankit Batla, Chetna Pande, Priyanka Verma and Alika Nair in key roles.
An interesting feature of the web series is that every episode of the series will have a confession ex post facto the crime.
The trailer of the anthology series was released earlier by the streaming platform.

The stories in the anthology revolve around individuals who cross paths and experience different versions of love, trust and betrayal leading to unexpected changes in their lives.
The release of the Crime anthology on Alt Balaji comes after successful murder mysteries like Love, Sex And Doctors and Dark 7 White, streamed on the platform earlier this year.
Aani Kaay Hava (Aur Kya Chahiye in Hindi) on Mx player
After a successful season 1 and 2, the popular Marathi romantic series Aani Kaay Hava(Aur Kya Chahiye in Hindi) , story of a married couple looking for ways to retain color in their relationship after the initial years of marriage, returns for a third season on Mx player.
Featuring Priya Bapat and Umesh kamat as Jui and Saket, who are constantly finding new ways of maintaining color in their marital relationship, Aani Kaay Hava season 3 premieres on Mx player on August 6.
Season 1 dealt with Jui and Saket celebrating the many firsts in their marriage, while the second season saw them experience various emotions as they celebrated their third marriage anniversary.
Season 3 will take viewers through the marital journey of Jui and Saket during the nationwide lockdown as they approach five years of their marriage.
The season 3 will take viewers through the various gives and takes in the lives of every couple .
A creation by Mirchi Originals, Aani Kaay Hava has been written and directed by Varun Narvekar.
Talking about the season 3, Priya Bapat said, 'this season takes us through married life during a lockdown. This period truly saw multiple dynamics change in the relationship for many of us.
It’s important to never let your marriage stagnate and to keep rekindling the excitement with maybe new hobbies, or a project that you decide to work on together, or to simply find things that you both enjoy doing as a couple.”
Speaking about her character, Priya Bapat said, 'after 5 years of marriage in Jui and Saket’s life – they continue to grow together and handle the curve balls that life throws their way, and it is for this reason that I enjoy playing this character. I know Umesh and I have gone through some of these moments ourselves and we can’t wait to bring Jui and Saket back to your homes.”
Talking about the show, Umesh Kamat said,“For a successful marriage, there has to be good communication and companionship in the relationship. It’s important to try to understand your partner and we have tried to highlight this message in a lighthearted manner through this series.
The fun banter between this couple and supporting each other through our problems mirrors Priya’s and my relationship off-screen as well. I truly feel like there is a small bit of ourselves that we instill in Jui and Saket, and I think Varun brings that alive on screen brilliantly.”
Director Varun Narvekar said that the new season is a take on modern relationships.
“Our previous seasons for this franchise have received heartwarming responses. The third edition is a beautiful take on modern relationships and how certain aspects of the same were redefined as a by-product of the lockdown. Jui and Saket have lived the graph of the honeymoon phase, cementing their bond and at the onset of five years in the marriage, they continue to keep the spark alive and navigate through the course of life.
‘Aani Kay Hava’ has really relatable characters, which is why they feel so organic on screen and I couldn’t have asked for a better cast than Priya and Umesh to play Jui and Saket,'he said.

Hit and Run on Netflix
August 6 will also witness premiere of the Crime thriller
Crime thriller Hit and run is the story of a man, Segev (Lior Raz), whose life is turned upside down after his wife is tragically killed in a hit and run. When he embarks on a risky journey to uncover the truth, he discovers more about his late wife’s past than he ever knew existed.
The death of his wife turns out to be more than just an accident.
Hit and Run has been written by Avi Issacharoff, Lior Raz, Dawn Prestwich, and Nicole Yorkin. Mike Barker has directed the pilot and 4 other episodes, The other episodes have been directed by Hardiman Neotas and Rotem Shamir
In addition to Lior Raz, Hit and Run also stars Gregg Henry, Igal Naor, David Anthony Buglione , David Shumbris , Michael Aronov , Siena Kelly , Joe Giorgio and Alex Gemeinhardt .
