NatGeo tie up with Karan Johar to launch Your Lens platform to encourage photo-enthusiasts to share their best photographs

The National Geographic has tied up with filmmaker Karan Johar to launch a new brand titled Your Lens to encourage photo enthusiasts to share their best photographs and images on various National Geographic platforms in India .

The tie up by National Geographic, known for its groundbreaking and iconic imagery, is part of its  initiative to celebrate the incredible art of photography in India.

With the launch of Your Lens, in association with filmmaker Karan Johar,, the National Geographic  is providing a platform for its fans; encouraging them to share their best pictures and get featured across National Geographic platforms– television channel, social media and a specially curated website - www.nationalgeographicyourlens.in in India.

Every image has the power to take an individual through a journey of emotions - by  moving,, inspiring and touching  their  heart.

Recognizing and acknowledging the integral role that emotions play while capturing an image, National Geographic is bringing alive Your Lens with the concept of - What Moved You Today. With this, the brand is inspiring fans to share their story of what moved them while capturing a picture through their cameras. Some captures have been known to uplift and nourish one’s soul while some images have the ability to just move you to tears and National Geographic is celebrating all these emotions and images through Your Lens.

The entries will be assessed by established National Geographic explorers, also some of the most renowned photographers in the country like Prasenjeet Yadav, Deepti Asthana and Poulomi Basu, who will select the images that will be showcased, starting October 2021.

Spread across various themes such as breathtaking landscapes, majestic wildlife, thrilling adventures, vibrant festivals, people and portraits and many more, the best images will be featured across the National Geographic television channel in India, social media platforms which today have a following 10.8 Mn followers in India and a visually stunning website - www.nationalgeographicyourlens.in - which has been particularly created and designed for Your Lens.

Those wishing to share their  images need to visit the microsite www.nationalgeographicyourlens.in and enter  basic details such as name, email address, year of birth, city and country
Once done, participants will be asked to choose from various themes such as Stunning Aquatic Life, Gorgeous Flora, Spectacular Aerial Views, and Majestic Wildlife etc. Participants can select multiple themes to submit one picture

Participants can share upto to five pictures or videos.

Selected images will be featured on National Geographic television channel in India, National Geographic social media platforms in India and the website – www.nationalgeographicyourlens.in .
