Action thrillers Black Widow & Money Heist,comedy Helmet & fairy tale Cinderella entertain on OTT this week

After period dramas The Empire and Sabka Sai and youth drama Engineering Girls 2.0 last week,  action thrillers,  comedies and fairy tales are set to entertain viewers on OTT this week.

Scheduled to premiere on various digital platforms this week are action thriller Black Widow,  crime drama Money Heist, comedy drama Helmet and fairy tale Cinderella.

Black Widow  on Disney Hotstar

This week will see the India release of the much awaited marvel Studios movie Black Widow .

After a successful run in Cinemas in the US in July,  Black Widow, which features Scarlett Johansson in the lead role and Florence Pugh , David Harbour , O-T Fagbenle , William Hurt , Ray Winstone and Rachel Weisz in pivotal roles,  will premiere on Disney Hotstar platform on September 3.

The film will be streamed in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada..

Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, Black Widow,   the 24th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). has been directed by Cate Shortland .

Set after the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016), the film sees Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff or Black Widow being forced to confront her past.


Marvel Studios movie Black Widow premieres on Disney Hotstar on September 3


Black Widow, which  premiered at events around the world on June 29, 2021, and was released in the United States on July 9 simultaneously in theaters and through Disney+ with Premier Access, is the first film in Phase Four of the MCU.

The film was delayed three times from an original May 2020 release date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since its release in the US,  Black Widow broke several pandemic box office records and has grossed over 370 million Dollars worldwide, becoming the fifth-highest-grossing film of 2021.

The film received laudatory reviews from critics, with critics praising for the performances, particularly those of Johansson and Pugh, and the action sequences.

Money Heist S 5 on Netflix

Premiering this week on OTT will be the season 5 of the popular Spanish crime series Money Heist (La Casa De Papel in Spanish) .

Season 5 of Money Heist will release on Netflix on September 3.

Season 5, which will be the final season of the series) will be released in two volumes- while volume one will be released on Netflix on September 3, volume 2 will be streamed on Netflix on December 3.

The streaming platform earlier this month released the English language trailer of the season 5 of Money Heist .

The trailer provides viewers a glimpse of intriguing developments in season 5.

The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan.

Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war.


Season 5 of Crime drama Money Heist premieres on Netflix on September 3



 Money Heist season 5 , to be streamed in English,  Hindi,  Tamil and Telugu,  will be released in two  volumes  of five episodes each, which will air at a gap of  three months  on Netflix.

The season 5 will see Alvaro Morte reprise his role as Professor, a key member of the gang, from  the  earlier seasons of the show. 

It will also feature  Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo, Itziar Ituño as Lisbon, Miguel Herrán as Rio, Jaime Lorente as Denver, Esther Acebo as Stockholm, Hovik Keuchkerian as Bogota, Rodrigo de la Serna as Palermo, Najwa Nimri as Alicia Sierra, Belén Cuesta as Manila, Enrique Arce as Arturo, Darko Peric as Helsinki, Luka Peros as Marseille, Fernando Cayo as Coronel Tamayo, and José Manuel Poga as Gandía.

A popular Spanish crime series,  Money Heist has been created by  Pina , who is also the  executive producer alongside Jesús Colmenar and Cristina López Ferraz. An original Netflix series, Money Heist  has been produced by  Vancouver Media.

Helmet on Zee5

After playing supporting roles in films like Stree, Dangal and Street Dancer 3D, actor Aparshakti Khurrana will be making his debut as lead actor in Hindi films with the comedy Helmet,  which will premiere on ZEE5 this week.

Helmet will star Yesteryears actress Nutan's granddaughter Pranutan Bahl in the female lead. The film will also feature Ashish Verma, Abhishek Banerjee and Dino Morea in pivotal roles.

The film, which marks the directorial debut of Satram Ramani, will premiere on ZEE5 on September 3.


Comedy film Helmet releases on Zee5 on September 3



A quirky comedy based in the heartland of India,  Helmet deals with a topic that it embarrassing for most people in the country.  The film tries to deal with the subject in a hilarious and comic manner.

Helmet marks the debut of Aparshakti Khurrana as a lead actor in Bollywood.
He has earlier played supporting roles in the horror comedy Stree, Street Dancer 3D and Dangal.

Helmet's female lead Pranutan Bahl is the daughter of Bollywood actor Mohnish Bahl and the granddaughter of legendary actress Nutan.

Pranutan Bahl had made her debut in Bollywood with the film Notebook, produced by Salman Khan.

Pranutan starred opposite Zaheer Iqbal in the film.

Cinderella on Amazon Prime

This week will also witness the release of Cinderella,  a musical love story that is a modern of the fairy tale of Cinderella.

Written and directed by Kay Cannon, Cinderella stars Csmila Csbello in the titular role of Cinderella with Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan in key roles.

A modern take on the traditional fairy tale,  the story follows the young Cinderella who stays with her abusive and overprotective stepmother and stepsister who murdered her father for his wealth .

It is the first live action remake since the Walt Disney company's 2015 film CinderellCina.
