Sonakshi Sinha auctions her paintings to raise funds for Covid relief

Even as  the lockdown enforced across the country during the Covid pandemic forced most celebrities from Bollywood to remain confined in their homes due to the halting of the film shoots and film production activities, the period saw many of them do their bit for ensuring relief to the covid hit people in the country. 

Joining in with the efforts by Bollywood celebrities to do their bit for Covid relief , Actress Sonakshi Sinha recently auctioned some of the paintings done by her during the lockdown to raise funds for Covid relief. 

Sonakshi Sinha, who last weekend appeared on the Kapil Sharma show to promote her music video Mil Mahiya,  said that she used the period of the lockdown to draw modern art paintings.

'Sitting at home during the lockdown,  I felt so helpless and  wanted to do my bit to bring relief for Covid victims. So, I thought of keeping myself busy with paintings which I later auctioned  to raise funds for Covid relief,'Sonakshi Sinha said. 

During the second wave of COVID-19,  celebrities from Bollywood contributed to Covid relief by ensuring availability of oxygen cylinders, hospital beds and life saving drugs and medicines,  which were in short supply due to an unprecedented surge in covid cases. 

Talking about Sonakshi,  the actress was recently seen in Bhuj The Pride of India,  streamed on Disney Hotstar. 

In the coming days,  she will make her digital debut with a web series Fallen,  being produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Reema Kagti. 

Sonakshi plays the role of police officer in Fallen,  which will stream soon on Amazon Prime Video.
