She is garnering attention of viewers with her character of Sakina Mirza in the television show Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai, a story about the comic situations arising from bickering between two culturally and ideologically opposite families forced to live under the same roof.
Akansha Sharma, a dancer, model and actress who has made her debut with Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai, being telecast on &TV, says that playing the character of Sakina Mirza in the show has won her tremendous love and attention from people across the country, winning her a tremendous fan following .

In a chat on the occasion of the show completing 200 episodes, Akanksha said, '
the show Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai and my character Sakina Mirza in it have helped me garner a lot of love and attention from people across the country. This has helped me reach 100k plus followers on Instagram.'
Akanksha, who makes her debut on television with Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai, said she is thrilled to have made her debut with the show.
'The day I entered the set of Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? was the day when my life took a 360-degree turn! I cannot thank the makers and channel enough for giving me this opportunity,'Akanksha said.
Akanksha said that she is thankful to team of Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai for providing her tremendous support during the making of the show.
'I am thankful to the team of the show for lending me do much love and support during its making. Infact, thank you will be an understatement to express my gratitude towards the whole team of the show and my fans,'she said.
Akanksha, who started her career as a stage dancer , has earlier participated in several Dance reality shows as a Choreographer as well as a contestant.
The actress stars in the television show along with Farhana Parveen, Pawan Singh and Amrish Bobby.

Set against the backdrop of Lucknow, the show is a situational comedy, which ensues when two culturally opposite families are forced to share a roof, manoeuvre day-to-day concerns of small-town-living and highly competitive wives.
The show captures the long-standing Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb of Lucknow through the two families – the Mishras and the Mirzas, cohabiting in an old nawabi haweli.
Each family wishing to own the haveli and not share it with the other causes constant bickering and amusing scuffles around everyday issues and incidents. Produced by Amjad Hussain Sheikh (Shade Productions), the show features Akansha Sharma as Sakina Mirza, Pawan Singh as Zafar Ali Mirza, Farhana Fatema as Shanti Mishra and Ambrish Bobby as Ramesh Prasad.
