Feel blessed to play the role of Genda; Shrenu Parikh

She has grabbed eyeballs with her portrayal of Genda in Ghar Ek Mandir,  being telecast on &TV.

Actress Shrenu Parikh is thrilled with the overwhelming response generated by Ghar Ek Mandir among the viewers.

The show recently achieved the milestone of completing 100 episodes.

Overwhelmed by the love bestowed on her character by the audiences,  Shrenu Parikh said that she is blessed to assay the role of Genda in the television show.

'I feel blessed to essay the role of Genda, which is such a positive and pure character,'the actress said.

'I am glad people have loved Genda and all the other characters that make the show one of its kind,'she said.

On the show completing 100 episodes of its run, she said,'I am glad to see the response the show has garnered. It feels like yesterday when the whole team gathered for the first reading of the show. It has been a dream run for the entire team that has been giving its best to keep the viewers engaged and entertained.'

Shrenu Parikh recalls that she was sceptical about playing the role of Genda when it was first offered to her.

'When I was first offered the role, I was sceptical as I had to shift to Jaipur for the same. Looking back , I now feel it was the best decision that I could ever make,'the actress said.

A known face on Indian television,  Shrenu Parikh made her debut as the lead in the Colors TV show Havan in 2011.

She came into limelight with the role of Astha Agnihotri in the romantic show Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon on Star Plus in 2013. The show was a turning point in her career and got her recognition  Later, she got lot of acclaim with her role of Gauri Kumari Sharma in the television show Ishqbaaz on Star Plus in 2017.

Shrenu Parikh made her Bollywood debut in the film Thodi Thodi Si Manmarziyan in 2017 opposite Arsh Sehrawat.

Later she also appeared in the film Lamboo Rastoo opposite Jay Soni.

Shrenu Parikh was also seen in the psychological thriller web series Damaged 3 .

She has got plaudits for her portrayal of the protagonist Genda in Ghar Ek Mandir Kripa Agrasen Maharaj Ki.

A story of faith, family and devotion,  &TV's 'Ghar Ek Mandir-Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki' is a never-seen-before socio drama on Indian television built around the context of the legendary king, Agrasen Maharaja.

The story depicts Agrasen Maharaja's core principles through his ardent bhakt and the show's lead protagonist, Genda, a devoted girl belonging to a low-income family, now married into a business family. The show brings a heart-warming and captivating story of faith, family and life.
