Spy thriller Dhaakad to release on May 20, Kangana Ranaut to feature as Hindi cinema's first female spy

After many postponements due to Covid,  the spy thriller Dhaakad releases in theatres on May 20.

Directed by Razneesh Ghai,  Dhaakad stars Kangana Ranaut in the role of an international female spy.

 Dhaakad is the story of a fierce and tough international spy who embarks on an action-filled adventure with guns blazing.

It is a  journey of brave female Spy Agni who fights against all the odds and evils to save humanity.

Agni, a highly trained and deadly field agent, is entrusted with a mission to gather Intel and eliminate Rudraveer, an international human and arms trafficker who has been off the radar for ten years.

Dhaakad will feature Arjun Rampal as Rudrqveer, the evil nemesis of Agni.

Produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai under banners of Soham Rockstar Entertainment, Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum films, Dhaakad also stars  Divya Dutta and Sharib Hashmi in key roles.

Dhaakad will feature  Kangana in a never-before seen avataar of a female spy.

Kangana went through 3 months of extensive training for the role of spy officer Agent Agni.

The film has evoked tremendous buzz among cinegoers ahead of its release.

The film will release on 2500 cinema screens worldwide, including 2200 cinema screens in India.

Though the film is releasing in lesser number of screens compared to horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiya2,  it has got laudatory reviews from critics.

The film has witnessed several postponements due to Covid.
