Ranveer Singh's much awaited comedy Jayeshbhai Jordar releases in cinemas tomorrow

After critical appreciation for his performance in the sports drama 83, which captured India’s historic triumph in the 1983 cricket World Cup,  Ranveer singh's next film Jayeshbhai Jordar , story of a traditional Gujarati sarpanch who believes in equal rights between men and women in society, releases in theatres tomorrow.

Written and directed by Divyang Thakkar and produced by Aditya Chopra and Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films,  Jayeshbhai Jordar is the story of traditional Gujarati sarpanch Jayeshbhai Patel who believes in equal rights between men and women in society.

Jayeshbhai Jordar stars Ranveer Singh in the titular role of Jayeshbhai Patel while featuring Shalini Pandey,  Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles.

Ahead of the release of the film,  actor Ranveer Singh said that Jayeshbhai Jordar is a film that is extremely close to his heart.

Jayeshbhai Jordar was postponed several times due to Covid-19 pandemic.  It was initially scheduled for theatrical release on October 2, 2020 and then on August 27 last year and February 25 this year but was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in the sports drama 83, which captured india's historic triumph in the 1983 cricket World Cup.  His performance as the former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev, who led Indian team to the historic victory  against the favorites West Indies, got a lot of critical appreciation
