Shamshera now streaming on Amazon Prime Video

After entertaining in cinemas,  the action thriller Shamshera is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

Shamshera, which released in cinemas last month,  began streaming on Amazon Prime Video from August 19.

Produced by Aditya Chopra  and directed by Karan Malhotra, Shamshera follows a dacoit tribe and their fight for independence against the British rule.

Shamshera stars Ranbir Kapoor in a double role, his first  double-role.  Sanjay Dutt plays the antagonist in the film which also stars Vaani Kapoor, Ronit Roy, and Saurabh Shukla in key roles.

Theatrically released on July 22 in Hindi,  Tamil and Telugu,  Shamshera,  which was released amid much hype,  however,  failed to draw crowds to the theatres.

The film also evoked mixed to negative reviews.

Made on a mammoth budget,  Shamshera managed a worldwide gross collection of just Rs 63.58 crore till the second week of August.
