As the country gears up for the celebrations on the occasion of Janmashtami,  actors from the world of television today shared warm memories of Janmashtami Festival from their childhood.

In a chat ahead of the Janmashtami Festival,  which marks the birth of Lord Krishna,  Sumeet Raghawan who essays the role of Rajesh Wagle from Sony SAB’s Wagle Ki Duniya, said,'Janmashtami is celebrated with great enthusiasm in my family. We are ardent devotees of Lord Krishna. Celebrations begin from midnight with the rituals performed, we offer sweets to Lord Krishna which are prepared at home followed by a small puja. I have warm memories of this festival from childhood where we would gather in the colony to break the handi.

May the little makkhan chor steal all your worries and troubles. Wishing all a very happy and prosperous Janmashtami.”

Actor Darshan Gurjar,  who assays the role of Chirag Patel in Pushpa Impossible,  also went down memory lane to reminisce about Janmashtami celebration in his childhood .

'Be it preparing feasts with the elders of the house or praying together, celebrating Janmashtami with loved ones has always had an immensely positive impact on my life. Right from my childhood days, I remember decorating the local temple with garlands, singing chants and breaking the dahi handi with my cousins. I cherish these memories dearly!

On this auspicious occasion, may Lord Krishna bless you with peace and prosperity. Happy Janmashtami!,'he said.
