Fasting during Chaitra Navratra is one of the most divine feelings: Preity Sahay

Amid celebration of the nine day Chaitra Navratri, being celebrated across the country with much fervor and enthusiasm from March 22, artists from the world of Television are seen embarking on a journey of self reflection,  worship and fasting.

For television actress Preity Sahay, fasting during the Chaitra Navratri is one of the most divine feelings.

Sharing her plans for celebration of the festival,  the actress, who assays  the  role of  Kamini in the television show Doosri Maa on & TV, said that for her fasting and praying during the nine day chaitra Navratri has become a part of her yearly ritual.


Actress Preity Sahay says that fasting during Chaitra Navratra is one of the most divine feelings 



“I am an ardent believer in Goddess Durga. Every day I fold my hands in front of her and pray for the well-being of my people. During Chaitra Navratri, I fast for nine days. It is one of the most divine feelings. I learned about this festival from my grandmother, and since then, I have been following its rituals religiously.

From a very young age, I started fasting and praying, which has become a part of my every yearly ritual. During those auspicious days, I consume kuttu atta, singhara atta, fresh fruit, milk, and dry fruits. However, Sabudana kheer is my all-time favourite, and I eat it at least once daily. I wish everyone a very happy Navratri, 'the actress said.

Known for her television appearances in shows like Child Bride, Moksh To Maya and the currently airing Doosri Maa,  Preity Sahay is catching the attention of viewers as Kamini in the television show Doosri Maa, being telecast on &TV from Monday to Friday at 8 pm.
