It was surreal sharing screen space with Dharmendra for Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani: Ranveer Singh

As he gets ready for his next film Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani , scheduled to release on the silver screen next week,  Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh says that he is privileged to be in the same frame as legendary actor Dharmendra in the film.

Ranveer,  who was in Delhi to promote his film, which has been directed by Karan Johar, said that sharing screen space with the Bollywood veteran is a surreal feeling.

''It was a surreal feeling to sharing screen space with a legend like Dharam ji. I have grown up watching him on the screen.

In this sense, working with him in the film was a dream come true. It was a scene straight out of a fantasym,'Ranveer said about  sharing screen space with the legendary actor.

Directed by Karan Johar and produced by Dharma Productions in association with Viacom18 Studios,  Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani is the story about flamboyant Punjabi Rocky falling in love with intellectual Bengali journalist Rani despite  their  differences.

After facing opposition from their families,  Rocky and Rani decide to live with each other's families for three months before  getting married.

The film stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan , Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra in lead roles.

Speaking to reporters at the promotional event of the film in Delhi,  the lead actress Alia Bhatt said working with legendary actors Dharmendra,  Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi has been a dream come true for her.

'Working with legends like Dharmendra, Shabana ji and Jaya Bachchan was a dream come true.  I was constantly observing Shabana mam and Jaya mam between the shots about  their  working  process and how they carry themselves with such a grace on screen. I am extremely happy to be working with such beauties.”

Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani also stars Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor in cameos.

The film has generated tremendous buzz among cinelovers ahead of its release on July 28.
