Ahead of the release of the show,  Nakul Mehta has said that working in the second season of the iconic show is a dream come true for him.

'I have grown up watching Bade Achche Lagte Hain. It's my mother's favourite show. So,  when I told her I have been offered this show she  said that I must definitely do it.

.It's my ode to my mother and all mothers who hv enjoyed watching the show over the years,'Nakul said.

He said that he was excited to have got an opportunity to work with Ekta Kapoor,  whomhas been a trendsetter in the television industry.

'I have been in the industry for the last eight years but my journey still feels incomplete.. Ekta kapoor is a person who set the mould on television in last 20 years.  It is a dream come true to be working with her.

Together with Ekta, we will try to recreate the  magic of Bade Achche Lagte hain, 'he said.

The show will see Disha Parmar step in the shoes of Sakshi Tanwar to play Priya.

'I am extremely happy and proud to be a part of this iconid show.. I feel doing this show has been my biggest achievement till now.

I am really grateful to Ekta for letting me be a part of this. I am  excited as well as nervous,'she said.

Ten years ago, Ekta Kapoor created a revolution on Indian Television with Bade Achche Lagte hain,  a show about two different individuals getting married and developing a feeling of love towards  each other over a period of time.

Ekta Kapoor says that she wants to showcase the show to the modern generation.

'There is a whole new generation who have not seen the show. They don't know that urban loneliness in 30s is a reality. Also, most shows on television today  are  mass oriented. The new generation is looking for soft Stories,'Ekta said .

Ekta says that a show like Bade Achche lagte hain is as much relevant today as it was ten years ago.

'Urban loneliness is a part of modern life. Those who do not get married by the age of 30 feel that their life has finished. Urban Life is quite lonely as we do not love in extended families in cities. And even if we do no one has time for each other.

So these people look for a life partner. This was an idea which was the centre point of the first season and the new season as well,'Ekta Kapoor said.

Ekta has said that she chose Nakul Mehta for the male lead as due  wanted a new age and affable hero to play Ram..

On choosing Disha Parmer for the role played by Sakshi Tanwar in the original,  Ekta Kapoor said, 'Disha has the softness that I wanted in the character.  Also, I wanted someone who has a feeling of  anger towards society for having  got the raw end of the stick.'

Ekta Kapoor said that she was locking to recreate the magic of Bade Achche lagte hain with Nakul and Disha.

' I hope audience will give Bade Achche Lagte Hain 2 the same level of success that they gave to the original show.  I am hoping that we create the same magic as we created with Bade Acche Lagte Hain.,'Ekta said.

Shooting for Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 commenced earlier this week
