After The Bigg Bull , a film that chronicled life of stock market player Harshad Mehta , work is now set to commence on a web series that will chronicle the life of Diamond merchant and fraudster Nirav Modi, who is alleged to have committed a multi crore fraud in the Punjab National Bank.
Film production house Abundantia entertainment has acquired the film production rights to the book 'Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India's Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi', authored by senior journalist Pawan Lall.
Trade sources said that Pawan Lall's book is set to be adapted as a multi season series.
Scripting for the series is currently underway.

Published by Hachette, UK, Pawan C Lall's 'Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India's Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi'' , based on personal encounters, incisive interviews and meticulous research, exposes the incredible twists and turns of the Nirav Modi story.
The book tells the story of a third-generation diamantaire who moved from Belgium to India to apprentice with his uncle, Mehul Choksi, an established diamond merchant with extensive connections.
It is the story of an astute businessman whose firm grip over an intercontinental supply chain saw his branded jewellery stores dotting not just every Indian metropolis but also marquee locations such as London, New York and Hong Kong.
It narrates the tale of a reclusive, inscrutable man with a penchant for the high life that possibly led him to fly too close to the sun.
Flawed recounts in close, compelling detail the rise of a global player and his equally dramatic fall. Arresting and revelatory, it raises indispensable questions about how one man’s drive to succeed at all costs can jeopardize an entire ecosystem.

Commencement of work on the series comes close on heels of the film The Bigg Bull , a film on Disney Hotstar that chronicled life of stock broker Harshad Mehta.
Nirav Modi is being investigated as a part of a fraud case of Punjab National Bank (PNB). He is also being sued in the State of California for 4.2 million US dollars for defrauding Los Angeles entrepreneur, Paul Alfonso, over two custom diamond engagement rings that turned out to be lab diamonds.
