Sony MAX to relive magic of Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin 3 decades after its release

Three decades ago,  Mahesh Bhatt's Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin weaved it's magic on cinegoers with its melodious songs, power packed performances and the sparkling chemistry between Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt.

As the 1991 film completes three decades of its release,  Sony MAX is set to relive the magic of the iconic love story with a  telecast of the film this month.

The channel will telecast the film on September 25 at 7 pm.

Over the years, Dil Hai Ke Maanta Nahin has created a positive impact on the cinelovers with its memorable music, excellent performances and the chemistry between the lead stars Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt.

A romantic comedy produced by Gulshan Kumar and directed by Mahesh Bhatt,
Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin starred his daughter Pooja Bhatt in her first major lead female role, while the male  lead was played by Aamir Khan. Supporting roles were played by Anupam Kher, Sameer Chitre, and Tiku Talsania, while Deepak Tijori made a special appearance.

Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin revolves around a spoilt heiress(Pooja Bhatt) who runs away from home to marry a gold-digging film star. En route, she is helped by a smart-alecky journalist(Aamir Khan). However,  in course of the journey,  she falls in love with the journalist.

It is an unofficial remake of the 1934 Hollywood film It Happened One Night and 1956 film Chori Chori starring Raj Kapoor and Nargis .

 Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin was remade in Tamil as Kadhal Rojavae (2000). The Kannada movie Hudugaata (2007) was also inspired by the same American film.

This Mahesh Bhatt directed Bollywood romance has something for everyone, whether be it the romantic songs, sizzling chemistry between Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt or the beautiful locations.

Even 30 years after its release,  the music of Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin
Is as refreshing as it was when it releases.

Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin has soul-touching and melodious music compositions done by Nadeem - Shravan, including Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin , Dil Tujhpe Aa Gaya and Too Pyaar Hai Kisi Aur Kaa.

The romance is bang on and the chemistry between the two actors is outstanding.

Together, Aamir and Pooja Bhatt created fireworks and a sizzling chemistry in this film with their spirit and the calmness they got by playing two people who love each other. The duo were the most loved and praised jodi of the decade who set the benchmark with their nuanced performances.

Even the comedy of this movie is so real and full of emotions that you won’t stop laughing.

Anupam Kher has done a great job as Pooja Bhatt's Dad tickling our funny bone. The supporting cast of the movie includes Tiku Talsania, Rakesh Bedi, Avtar Gill, Deepak Tijori and many more talented actors. Unlike other films that only concentrate on romance, this has a perfect mix of romance and comedy

Locations in which the film is shot are absolutely beautiful and can't be missed! Ooty is one of the hill stations the movie was shot in. They have also shot in Nawanagar Palace, Fern Hill Palace and many more. Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin has truly showcased the real beauty of India in the movie.

 The film  was a box office success and boosted the career of newcomer Pooja Bhatt while cementing Aamir Khan's status as a leading movie star.

 Anuradha Paudwal won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer for the song Dil hai ke manta nahin in 1992.
