Covid threat; Balaji Telefilms carries out vaccination drive for its employees

In a continuation of  efforts by film and television production houses to secure their staff against Corona virus infection,  Balaji Telefilms of Ekta Kapoor today carried out a  vaccination drive for its staff and extended crew.

With the latest vaccination drive by the production house,  the drive to vaccinate its staff is now complete.

Around 600 employees of Balaji Telefilms are now fully vaccinated.

The vaccination drives were carried out by Balaji Telefilms with the help of its partners.

As part of efforts to secure personnel of the film and television industry against Corona virus, various film and television production houses, including Yash Raj Films,  Ajay Devgn films and Balaji Telefilms have been carrying out vaccination drives for their staff and crew.

The state of Maharashtra witnessed an unprecedented surge in covid cases during the second wave of COVID-19 in April. The second wave, which  saw several noted personalities of film and television world contracting the coronavirus infection , brought operation of the entertainment industry to a standstill,  leading the government to put a halt on film and television production activities from April to July.

The dip in cases from July saw the Maharashtra government easing restrictions on shooting of films and television shows in districts witnessing a low positivity level.

The cinema halls in Maharashtra,  however,  remain closed due to threat of Delta variant of covid and looming threat of third wave of COVID-19.
