Shang Chi,  which earned Rs 15.50 cr in India in its opening week,  saw a drop in its collections in the second week to Rs 6.50 cr.

A major percentage of the earnings of the film came from South Indian markets,  including Hyderabad and Bangalore.  Collections of the film remained low in Delhi and NCR and Punjab.

Trade experts feel that the film could reach a figure of Rs 25  cr in India.

Shang Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings had taken a rocking start at the box office with earnings of Rs 3 cr on its opening day,. The collections rose to
Rs 3.25 cr on Saturday and to Rs 4.25 cr on Sunday,  taking its earnings during the opening weekend to Rs 10.50 cr.

A less than expected box office collection of the film is being attributed to the theatres across India operating at just 50 percent occupancy and the closure of cinema halls in Maharashtra amid the threat of the Delta variant of covid and looming threat of third wave.

Shang Chi And The Legend Of Ten Rings has earned 101 million dollars in its opening week in US and Canada,  setting a record for collections of a film post the pandemic.

The film has earned 157 million dollars worldwide in its opening week.
