First Indo Polish film production venture No Means No to release in theatres on Diwali

Indo Polish love story No Means No will hit the big screens on Diwali.

A romantic action thriller, No Means No is the first Indo Polish joint film production venture

Shot simultaneously in  English, Hindi and Polish, No Means No has been produced by G7 Films Poland and directed by Vikash Verma.

Confirming theatrical release for the film, its director Vikash Verma said: “Let’s light up the theatres this Diwali with Love Story ‘NO Means No.'

The film,  which  marks director Vikash Verma’s directorial debut, stars newcomer Dhruv Verma and Polish actress Anna Guzik in the lead roles and Gulshan Grover, Sharad Kapoor, Deep Raj Rana and Polish actors Natalia Bach, Sylvia Chek, Pavel Czech, Nazia Hassan, Anna Adore, Jersey Handzlik, and Kat Christian featuring in pivotal roles .

The film follows an Indian ski champion (Dhruv Verma), who participates in a ski championship in Poland. There he falls in love with a Polish gir.

No Means No also features Sanjay Dutt and Preity Zinta in important roles.

Ahead of the release of the film,  it's director Vikash Verma hoped that the covid restrictions presently in force in cinema halls in the country, would be eased out by Diwali.

'We hope that by November 5, the havoc of Corona will end in the country and theaters will be able to open with full force,'he said.

He said that even today,  more people prefer to watch films in cinema halls than on OTT.

'Even today, more people prefer to watch films in cinema halls than OTT. So there is no point in releasing the film on OTT,'Verma said.

Speaking about the film, Vikash Verma said that the film is not about the Winter Olympics but is basically a  love story.

'The teenage hero of the film is a skiing player who travels to Poland to participate in the Winter Olympics championship. The boy falls in love with a girl in the film and the film is based on the events that happen after that,'he said.

Vikash said that the film has been shot in Poland. 

' The cast and the entire production team have put in a lot of hard work. We  shot in -31 degree temperature,'he said.

On the film being titled No Means No', Vikash Verma said ,'till now women were considered 'Abla', (weak) but now womenare increasingly asserting their rights.. This is  the message that is set to by put across in the film.'

The film  was Initially scheduled to be released on March 22  2021, but postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic .

Later, it was  scheduled for theatrical release on Diwali.
